Glam Baby Shower

So one of my closest friends, who threw me my baby shower when I was having my son, was having a baby girl (she was born already :]) and I decided to return her the favor & plan hers! I loooove to plan parties! Let me tell you for a party on a budget I think it turned out fabulous! So now I'm thinking of finally posting on the parties I have done in the past. But this post in particular is on her baby shower. So being that I had to plan this after being laid off my job, I knew I was going to be able to splurge on it. My friend wanted a black & hot pink damask theme. Very chic, girly, & elegant I loved it. At my old job I used to have a lot of spare time to be surfing the web so that's exactly what I did, I googled the crap out the baby shower haha. I ended up finding the most unique & amazing key pieces for the party and most of them came from Etsy!

First & foremost were the invitations. We picked these out from Zazzle.com. They were to cute not to have & fit her theme perfectly!

For food it was just a potluck so nothing special. But dessert was important to her, we HAD to have a candy bar :) I got all the trays & untensils from the 99 cent store, I forget how amazing that place is! For the Chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting with strawberry slices & chocolate drizzled on top I just used the Damask cups from Amazon. I got a Damask print table runner from amazon as well. We had skittles, strawberry gummy bears, cupcakes, and champagne flutes of pink lemonade :) I spread the large rhinestone gems all over the table. I got the Chanel baby carriage from Etsy & used it as the table centerpiece & as a giftbox to my gift to her (a bedazzled on the go wipie case). The Chanel booties were the party favors so everyone got to take one home!

The It's a Girl banner was also from Etsy. It was sooo cute! For games I did the melted chocolate 'poop' diaper game & the leg crossing game where we used feather boas! All in all for being on a budget it looked so bougie! Haha loved it. I tied the 2 Chanel booties together & have them hanging in my rear view mirror of my car lol. I actually just sold the Chanel Carriage today but the one-of-a-kind banner is still up for sale if anyone is interested.

Me & the Momma to be XOXOXO
Her baby was born 3/30/2013 :)
